~Update~

Tue Nov 10, 2009, 8:08 PM
Hi Guys just a quick update on what’s been happening in the Amped camp:

Free to run: promo shoot with local Melbourne blues/rock band. It was so hot that day we had to make several pit stops at the pub, things got pretty silly be the end of the shoot.[link]

Swarm fest: 20-30 alternative/rock bands playing at the Epsy from the afternoon til late the next morning inc Mammal, MM9, Bellusira. Sad to know now that was Mammal's last gig, was killer!
The manager of MM9 got in touch with me to use a couple of pics of them for posters. Hopefully we’ll see them around town soon!

Stephanie: first time working with a makeup artist, we did a few different styles and scenarios from cute 50s pin up to exotic goddess, all in the comfort of my living room!

Local lads Sydonia and Twelve foot Ninja performing at the Ding Dong Lounge.

Promo shoot with Twelve foot Ninja: hard working coordinating a bunch of arse kicking Ninjas all in your living and up trees:

Alice Cooper: this concert was so cool! Alice Cooper performing at the Palias Theatre in St Kilda. No photo pit, so we were forced to shooting from the side through people waving their arms in the air, plus with the awful 70-300mm kits lens...makes hard work!

NEXT UP:

13/11: Old school punk rockers Bodyjar and 28days at the corner for their farewell show.
15/11: Acoustic show by Birds of Tokyo at the town hall
25/11: Opeth – Swedish hard rockers at The Palace
3/12: Hilltop Hoods at Festival Hall - sold out
14/12: Green Day– *maybe*
15/12: Lamb of God – hard arse lads at Festival hall

Dont forget Big Day Out and Soundwave festival and sideshows yeeepiiii!

Amped Photography offers professional live and promotional photography for musicians, bands, management, promoters, events and festivals. Based in Melbourne, Australia, Annie is a regular contributor to national/international promoters with a passion and love for music.
She is happy to work with all levels of entertainment and is willing to discuss your image needs.

I love seeing live music, there’s something very special about watching musicians on stage. I use to take my camera along and shoot pictures from the crowd as a little memento to myself. Soon enough I wanted to see more and get closer. In 2007 I decided to take this seriously and my interest in music photography has become a full blown obsession.
